DIAMONDSBy Linda Pasfield Photographer
This is a real life Documentarial Portrayal of the People from Africa, and the Pacific.
I have been very blessed to travel and photograph these precious People I call Diamonds. In the Poorest streets of Ethiopia where no tourists will go to the Village life in Fiji and Papua New Guinea.
These Precious People have nothing in Materialism, but are wealthy in their spirits. There is a happiness and freedom they carry that I haven’t seen much in our own Lucky country. To be just the Photographer, and be able to come into their world, and it might be the smelliest, dirtiest of humblest surroundings, for a moment, it is the sweetest piece of Paradise, a spiritual freedom they all have, their faith, their God, that has made me realise Materialism really doesn’t make us happy, it’s the spiritual connection we all need that will carry us through the tough times we will all face in our Lives.
Appearing in the Logan Art Gallery for the month of July, images taken in Eithiopia, Fiji, Papua New Guinnea.
Corner Wembley and Jacaranda Rd Kingston, free admission Tuesday to Sunday 10am to 5pm. |
